Set on a steeply sloping site this 4 story development set in Birmingham's Jewellery Quarter, provides 24 modern apartments and 4 small workshop units, all with courtyard parking. The façade mimics the surrounding vernacular whilst the interior of the dwellings and courtyard have been designed with a contemporary feel.

The main challenge on this project was that the site sloped steeply in 2 directions, thus making many level changes within the structure, this made the 'bones' of the building quite complex thus limiting the possibilities to the end design, a problem which the original Architects failed to take into account.

Our roll was to take the original scheme and de construct it, then add in the missing elements whilst keeping the design philosophy. Our client was impressed by our final solution and our speed and efficiency of design.
