With the continued rise in commuting, and the future developments planned for the Snow Hill area, a need arose for a second access to the platform area.
Subsequently it was decided that a new booking hall, staircase, platform facilities and panoramic lifts were the ideal solution to maintain peak passenger flow effectively. This scheme links the existing trains and Metro stops to a future bus station and car park area, to enable Birmingham’s continued growth.
Mobius was commissioned to construct a new entrance at Snow Hill Station located within a Victorian brickwork viaduct on Livery Street in order to give commuters access to the lower Snow Hill part of the city centre.
