King Edward Road Apartments, Birmingham
This development in the heart of Birmingham and opposite the N.I.A. comprises of 2, 6 storey blocks. The first block adjacent to Townsend Way accommodates 24 apartments, with units allocated for the new ethos of Live–Work, allowing small businesses to be run ‘from home’.
The second block is adjacent to King Edwards Road and holds 60 apartments, again with the facility of, Live–Work units.
Both schemes have under-croft parking and are constructed in a steel frame, faced with brick, block and render, and topped with a mixture of flat roof and, challenging ‘butterfly’ roof constructions.
Mobius Studio Limited have been commissioned to remove all potential problems, and enhance the overall design, during the ‘Design Development’ phase, and were retained to be Lead Consultants and provide a full package of working drawings. This, together with a continued on-site presence ensures the client will achieve a high quality building that will be delivered on time, and within budget.
